Norfund was established in 1997 and has gradually been built up through annual capital increases from the Norwegian state budget. Our results have since 2007 contributed with considerable additional capital and strengthened equity, as shown in the figure below. The most important contributions from results are attributable to the positive developments in SN Power, where we have a 40 per cent stake. Our loan portfolio has also been repaying well. In addition, we have completed a number of successful exits over the last years.
As of year-end 2010 Norfund had NOK 6 747 million in equity, compared to NOK 5 871 million in 2009. Norfund had investment agreements worth NOK 5 844 million, and net disbursements to the investments constituted NOK 4 229 million.
