Norfund's total investment portfolio at 31 December 2010 was NOK 5.8 billion, and included a total of 85 companies. When including all the companies in which Norfund have invested indirectly through private equity funds, the number of companies we have contributed with capital to exceed 300. The portfolio is distributed in four investment areas: Financial Institutions, SME Funds, Renewable Energy and Industrial Partnerships. In the course of 2010, Norfund committed 20 new investments worth NOK 844 million. 46 per cent of new investments were in Africa, and 45 per cent in Least Developed Countries (LDCs).
